About This Opportunity
On Saturday mornings from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, we offer three one-hour Skate the Dream sessions of programming for children ages 7 to Grade 8 (12 or 13 years of age). This includes a Skate the Dream “Beginner”, “Intermediate”, and “Hockey” program.
Volunteers Currently Needed for On-Ice Support:
● - Tasks include engaging with members, cleaning and passing out skating/hockey equipment, setting up/assisting with activities, and on-ice instruction
● - Strong skating abilities
● - Hockey knowledge is preferred
● - Volunteer schedule and location:
○ Pat Quinn Parkdale Arena (1770 Main St E, Hamilton, ON L8H 7R5)
○ Saturday mornings from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM (or partial availability)
○ Weekly during the fall (September 27th to December 6th, except October 11th) and winter (January 10th to March 14th)
