NUTMEG Soccer is looking for a volunteer to manage social media as well as digital marketing strategy and content. NUTMEG strives to create confident, healthy and conscientious communities connected through the power of sport and education. We work to achieve this by providing free, fun, safe and quality soccer training and educational sessions for underserved children and youth in Toronto, while providing development opportunities for volunteers. How NUTMEG is presented digitally, including across social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc), Google search ads and our website is key for growing awareness and ultimately delivering on NUTMEG's mission and ensuring long-term success.

This is a fantastic role for either someone currently in this field of marketing or someone who is looking to grow their experience in this space! It is also a great way to give back to your community in a meaningful way while also connecting with like-minded individuals. You will be part of the small but mighty Marketing Committee and work with folks in Communications, Web Development & Graphic Design! You will be supported by a Marketing Committee Lead.

Role Scope:

• Plane, create and manage content across all social media platforms
• Prime Google search ads and optimize spend to ensure strong ROI
• Update website to improve SEO outcomes and consistency across digital journeys

Qualifications:

• Alignment to NUTMEG’s core vision and values
• Interest in digital marketing
• Ability to commit to on-going management of digital content (~1-2 hours per week)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Regular use of Slack for primary channel of internal communication

Nice to haves:

• University or college degree
• Marketing experience

Although NUTMEG is based out of downtown Toronto, we are open to applicants located across Canada. Successful candidate must be prepared to serve a 2-year term in the role.
