Gain experience in event organization, wayfinding, and customer support in volunteering at Taste of the Danforth. If you want to meet new people and explore Danforth Avenue, volunteer now!
On August 7th, 8th & 9th, the Taste of the Danforth Festival is back! We are currently expecting over 1.5 million attendees over the three days and would love some of your students to volunteer!
We ask that all volunteers attends a virtual training session prior to the event and that volunteers are over 18 years old. Volunteers can choose between July 27 or August 5 for their training sessions.
The Festival hours are Friday, from 6 p.m. to midnight, Saturday, from 12 p.m. to midnight, and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Volunteers must work a minimum of two shifts. Shifts include:
- Friday August 7; 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Friday, August 7; 6 p.m. to midnight
- Saturday August 8; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday August 8; 5 p.m. to midnight
- Sunday August 9; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Sunday August 9; 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
This opportunity allows people to gain volunteer experience while developing teamwork and organizational skills. Volunteer responsibilities include:
- Providing event and directional information
- Supporting vendors, performers, or staff
- Managing high activity areas or lines
