About This Opportunity

Dreamcatcher™ Nature-Assisted Therapy is looking for positive, enthusiastic, and fun individuals to harness their social skills and engage the public in new and exciting activities. We are planning to host monthly events between May & October.

Some event ideas we might do are:

  • Mother's Day Event (May)
  • Movie Night in the Barn (May or June)
  • Open House Event (June or July)
  • Alberta Open Farm Days & Road Stand Tour (Sunday, August 18th)
  • Halloween Event (October)
We would also like to include interactive animal tours and animal yoga either at the main events or on separate dates depending on how many volunteers we have. Majority of the events are hosted on Saturdays and Sundays, but there may be the occasional Friday that we host an event (e.g., partner events, open houses, etc.).

We are looking for:
  • Event managers/coordinators (hybrid position)
  • Event planners (hybrid position)
  • Event marketers (remote position)
  • Tour guides (on-site only position)*
  • Animal handlers (on-site only position)*
  • Other event helpers (e.g., market booth attendant, greeters, parking attendant, floaters, etc.) (on-site only position)*
  • Magical Forest maintenance & creatives (hybrid, mostly on-site position)
*= NEEDED MOST/URGENTLY

Note: we are looking for long-term/on-going volunteers for majority of events. However, we do have the possibility for volunteers to help out at a one-off event such as at Alberta Open Farm Days in August (please inquire).

Age Requirements:
Most positions require volunteers to be at least 14 years of age to volunteer alone. For some roles, there may be potential for families to volunteer together, however, kids must be at a mature age and must be supervised by their parent/guardian if at an event, or we may offer background help such as in decorating the magical forest.

If you are interested in volunteering with us, please visit our Get Involved page on our website for more information.

Volunteer Requirements

Whether you meet these requirements or not, we encourage you to share your interest in us. You may still be a fit for a different opportunity with our organization.
