About This Opportunity
The National Capital Suzuki School of Music is a small non-profit music school seeking a treasurer for our board of directors.
The treasurer's primary duties include:
- Attend monthly (first Monday of the Month) Board meetings from September to June and
- Present a report based on the previous months’ financial data from QuickBooks,
- Prepare a monthly bank reconciliation to ensure all deposits and withdrawals are recorded,
- Prepare the financial statements for the fiscal year ended for the Annual General Meeting,
- Perform duties pertaining to Canada Revenue Agency, ie. T4 slips for the employees, donation receipts, charity information return etc.
- Assist with financial portion of Grant Applications
Our outgoing treasurer is happy to advise the incoming Treasurer as they get familiar with the position.
