About This Opportunity
The non-profit agency, Comox Valley Child Development Association, is in its 50th year of providing local children and families with specialized services that build their strength and capacity.
To support our mission, we are seeking volunteers to come to our downtown Courtenay location, to create short films that we can use on social media and our website to let families know about our services. Filming will focus on portraying our facilities, our staff and our programs. This is a great opportunity to develop skills, give back to the community, and add to your resume! Volunteers will be encouraged to suggest creative approaches and collaborate to direct the project.
Most filming needs to take place at pre-agreed times between 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday, with lots of flexibility for exactly what that looks like to fit the schedules of people kind enough to donate their time.
Experience with camera work is a must. Students in the field are welcome to apply!
Must provide your own equipment.
Be willing to volunteer your time working with an established not for profit in the Comox Valley.
Be reliable. Once days and times are mutually agreed, lateness or short notice cancellation may negatively impact our services to families as people will be making themselves available to participate in the videos.
