About This Opportunity
PICS Intercultural Youth Service Corps (IYSCorps) and Intercultural Youth Microgrant Service Corps (IYMSCorps) program is looking for passionate youth all across B.C. between the ages of 15-29 years who are excited to give back to their communities, learn valuable skills, gain hands-on experience and build a better Canada. Our program brings together a diverse group of motivated youth to become active community ambassadors.
Youth can design and participate in their own funded community project!
IYSC Program provides youth with 5 weeks of essential skills training such as resume writing, financial literacy, stress management, and looking for jobs. Youth are then offered with 12 week at a volunteer placement of their choice or have the opportunity to create their own fully funded community project.
There are two options:
Volunteer placement for youth interested in regular ongoing volunteer activity with a community agency. Youth designing and implementing a project that will address a community need through project work, for which micro grants are available.
