About This Opportunity
Woofa~Roo Pet Fest is a pet and family friendly festival held one weekend a year. We promote several rescues and charities with a number of events throughout the weekend. With close to 7,500 people and 3,000 dogs in attendance, we need several volunteers to help set up, run and tear down our festival. Our typical volunteer is between the age of 13 and 70 years old and love the company of dogs and animal lovers alike. Our volunteers are provided with a t-shirt, hat and lunch - and of course - our heartfelt gratitude for your kind service at our crazy fun festival.
Located at the Libro Sports Centre in Amherstburg, Ontario, our event is held May 31st and June 1st with volunteer orientation and set up on May 30th. Tear down is the evening of June 1st.
Our volunteer shifts are 4.5 hours long with .5 an hour break. During your break, you can grab lunch or watch one of the many charity events or fascinating dog sports. Many volunteers choose to attend more than one shift - and that's ok! The option is yours and you can indicate your desired shift times when you register online.
