Oak Counselling Services Society Board Member Oak Counselling Services Society is seeking a board member who has an interest in mental health and expertise in fundraising. Oak is a non-profit registered charity that celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2023. Oak offers quality, professional, affordable counselling services to Greater Vancouver residents. Professionally trained counsellors volunteer their services, enabling Oak to offer affordable, low-cost counselling. The Board of Directors meets monthly in-person, by Zoom, or in hybrid fashion. Board members also assist with the strategic plans of the organization and participate in committee work, as needed. We seek a board member who can assist us in growing our funding base, enabling us to expand our services. This volunteer position would offer experience in working in the non-profit sector and would also provide an opportunity to make an important contribution to the emotional health and well-being of our community.
