To provide safe transportation, using their own vehicle, for clients who are eligible for the Carefor Community Support Services Transportation Program without expectation of remuneration other than the reimbursement for mileage as specified by the agency. (.50cents per km) Transportation service may be out-of-town drives for medical or therapy appointments, and/or local drives for medical or therapy appointments, shopping or banking, visiting and social activities.  

Pick up clients at their home or designated place, at the appointed time, and drive them to their destination, wait for them or return to pick them up and return them to their home or designated place.

 Be punctual, allow plenty of time to reach the destination and have directions as to the destination.

Escort the client to you vehicle and guide or assist the client to get in and out of the vehicle. You are not, however, required to do any lifting or physical assistance which may cause you physical distress e.g. do not lift or transfer a client.

If needed, accompany clients to the appointment location and notify the appropriate person of their arrival
