About This Opportunity
.All volunteers will be fully trained by the Volunteer Coordinator. We offer our volunteers forty cents a kilometre to cover expenses. Our Meals on Wheels and Medical Transport volunteers must has a criminal record check which is refunded by the Centre after three months. The Drivers for "Meals on Wheels :
- deliver prepared meals to clients
- The driving volunteer drives the route while his assistant takes the meals to the client.
Medical Transport Volunteers:
- Pick up patient at their home
- deliver patient to the location of their appointment
- Return the patient home after the appointment
