About Wholly AMusED: Wholly AMusED is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing Wellness Through Music. AMusED stands for Accessible Music Education and Development. We strive to improve the lives of all music lovers, fostering a vibrant and engaged community.
Position Summary: The Volunteer Executive Director will play a crucial role in leading Wholly AMusED, ensuring the effective delivery and operation of our programs. This position also involves active participation as a member of the Board of Directors, contributing to strategic planning and organizational governance. Work will be a combination of remote and in-person (various locations in Guelph). It is estimated that 4 to 6 hours per week is a minimum requirement to be successful in this volunteer role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Oversight: Ensure the successful implementation and operation of all programs, aligning with the organization’s mission and goals.
- Community Outreach: Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and the public to enhance the organization’s visibility and impact.
- Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, and manage volunteers, fostering a supportive and motivated volunteer team.
- Board Participation: Actively participate in Board meetings, contributing to strategic planning, policy development, and decision-making processes.
- Fundraising and Development: Assist in fundraising efforts, including grant writing, donor relations, and event planning.
- Financial Oversight: Collaborate with the Board Treasurer to monitor the organization’s budget and financial health.
Qualifications:
- Passion for the mission and values of Wholly AMusED.
- Proven leadership and management experience, preferably in a not-for-profit setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
- Experience in community outreach, volunteer management, and fundraising is highly desirable.
- Commitment to dedicating 4-6 hours per week to the role.
