About This Opportunity
Calling all passionate volunteers! Join our team as a Volunteer Facilitator, dedicating approximately 4 hours per month to support our organization's mission. As a Volunteer Facilitator, you'll play a crucial role in guiding discussions, fostering collaboration, and contributing to the positive impact of our initiatives within the community.
Are you a team player with a knack for innovative problem-solving? Do you possess an open-minded approach and a passion for learning? Are you self-assured and resilient? Join us as a Facilitator and play a pivotal role in nurturing a volunteer support network dedicated to enhancing the life of an individual with a disability. As a Facilitator, your primary goal will be to create an environment focused on the unique objectives of the individual with a disability while fostering trust and respect among volunteers.
In this role, you'll contribute around 4 hours per month, with scheduling flexibility including weekdays, evenings, or weekends. As a leader and organizer, your role is to guide rather than execute tasks—volunteers handle the practical aspects. Key skills required include effective communication, firm yet compassionate leadership, setting healthy boundaries, confidently saying no when necessary, and adept conflict resolution.
If you're passionate about creating a supportive environment where emotions and experiences are valued and conflict is addressed constructively, we invite you to join us in making a meaningful impact.
