About This Opportunity
Richmond Music School has an opening for a volunteer to help us with finding the resources to fund our programs. This is a mostly-remote position with flexible hours. Some in-person meetings may be required, so applicants need to be in the Greater Vancouver Metro area.
Key responsibilities:
i. Develop a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including annual and one-time campaigns; Create and grow diverse revenue streams;
ii. Enhance relations with current donors, and find and develop new sponsors and donors; and
iii. Assist the volunteer Grant Writer in sourcing and screening potential grants.
Knowledge & experience:
i. Some experience in fundraising, particularly in the major gift and annual giving areas;
ii. Outstanding interpersonal skills, including strong written and oral communication;
iii. Exceptional attention to detail; and
iv. A knowledge of and passion for music is preferred.
Expected time commitment: 2 – 5 hours per week.
