About This Opportunity
Do you like sharing a smile and helping raise money for those who need it most in your community? In this volunteer position (Bell Ringers!) you will be part of one of The Salvation Army’s oldest Christmas traditions by standing next to the kettle bell and greeting people as they pass by. Our campaign will run from Nov 17 to Dec 23, 2023 with shifts ranging from Monday thru Saturday (10am-7pm, excluding Wednesday) but may vary with some locations. Join the wonderful team of Kettle Bell Ringers and spread the spirit of the season!
Key accountabilities:
- Be warm, courteous and approachable – SMILE
- Make eye contact and be attentive
- Have a joyful attitude and say “Merry Christmas”
- After receiving a donation, be grateful and remember to say “Thank you”
- Dress for the weather and dress appropriately
- Be punctual to relieve the earlier volunteer
- Do not change the area in which the kettle is placed
- Do not obstruct the flow of mall traffic
- Do not wear headphones or smoke
- Do not leave the kettle unattended
- Never speak to the media, instead please contact the Kettle Coordinator

- Minimum 16 years old
- Willing to undergo a background or police records check
- Comfortable commuting to opportunity location
