SUMMARY:
The Volunteer Legal Advisor will provide pro-bono legal guidance to ALDO, ensuring compliance and supporting organizational governance. This position reports to the Board and assists management in legal matters related to nonprofit operations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Review contracts, agreements, and organizational policies
• Provide legal advice on compliance and nonprofit regulations
• Assist with risk management and governance matters
• Support the Board and management on legal issues as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards
• Attend regular team meetings and provide updates on campaign progress
EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS:
• Licensed attorney or law student with relevant experience ( need to check it )
• Knowledge of nonprofit law is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and discretion
• Ability to work independently and provide timely guidance
• Passion for supporting children’s education and nonprofit work
