SUMMARY:

The Volunteer Legal Advisor will provide pro-bono legal guidance to ALDO, ensuring compliance and supporting organizational governance. This position reports to the Board and assists management in legal matters related to nonprofit operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review contracts, agreements, and organizational policies

Provide legal advice on compliance and nonprofit regulations

Assist with risk management and governance matters

Support the Board and management on legal issues as needed

Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards

Attend regular team meetings and provide updates on campaign progress

EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS:

Licensed attorney or law student with relevant experience ( need to check it )

Knowledge of nonprofit law is preferred

Strong attention to detail and discretion

Ability to work independently and provide timely guidance

Passion for supporting children’s education and nonprofit work
