Position Description
Sawa World is looking for a Volunteer Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Advisor who will play a critical role in supporting our organization's mission. This position is responsible for ensuring that our programs and initiatives are effectively monitored and evaluated to assess their impact and improve overall outcomes. The Advisor will work closely with the organization's Impact and Outreach team to enhance our data-driven decision-making processes and continuous improvement efforts.
Main Duties
- Technical Support
- Collaborate with the Impact and Outreach team to create a comprehensive organizational M&E framework, including Theory of Change, that aligns with our youth-focused programs and objectives.
- Review the central database and provide technical advice on the different program indicators.
- Capacity Building
- Provide technical advice on data collection and analysis tools and methodologies, to measure program effectiveness and assess impact.
- Connect with the Impact and Outreach team quarterly to provide any additional support and mentorship as required.
- Thought Leadership
- Support Impact and Outreach as well as Video teams to communicate project impact and disseminate learnings and project best practices with key stakeholders and peer organizations.
- Suggest ways to apply project learnings to inform programmatic adjustments and improvements, trailblazing innovative local solutions within and outside of Uganda.
- A strong commitment to Sawa World’s mission and values.
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in a non-profit or youth-focused context.
- Experience in evaluating impact for virtual activities and projects (i.e. the reach through a webinar) is a plus.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting using relevant software and tools.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to convey complex data in an understandable manner.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
