Volunteer Position - Porter
Program Operates Monday to Friday
Shifts: 08:00 to Noon and Noon to 4:00
Current Vacancies: Every Monday 08:00 to Noon
Every Thursday Noon to 04:00 p.m.
General Responsibilities:
· To prioritize and respond to requests from Departments and Staff throughout the Hospital to pick up and deliver items to locations in a timely and professional manner.
· To assist with Patient Transfer Calls
· To deliver samples to the Lab
· To ensure Wheelchairs are cleaned and returned to the corresponding departments as color codes identify.
· To respond to both clean and dirty cart calls
· To clock in and clock out using their personal 4 digit ID number
· To follow Infection Control guidelines throughout the duration of their shift
· To ensure any special responsibilities are completed on the assigned days
· To carry out work activities in a safe manner that is conducive to any and all MHA safety rules.

Applicants for this Volunteer Position are required to complete the standard Volunteer on boarding process, which includes providing a current Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening and Immunization Screening.
