About This Opportunity
BEC activities engage people and organizations in urban-centred regions to develop a
culture of sustainability. Currently they operate in Ottawa, Toronto, Brampton,
Edmonton, and Vancouver. BECC’s main role is to support development of BEC
initiatives.

The Secretariat Administrator, under direction of the Administration Director, would:
- Liaise with leaders of BECC and BEC teams
- Create agendas and chair secretariat meetings
- Approve minutes written by the Secretariat Communicator
- Propose strategies to enhance secretariat performance
- Lead development of quarterly round tables for all BEC members
The candidate for this position should have the following skills and experience:
- Ability to organize and communicate information
- Ability to set up and lead meetings
- Experience with teamwork
- Leadership experience
Time Commitment and how to apply
It is expected that the candidate would be able to commit 4-5 hours per week for a year
to this volunteer position. There will be many opportunities for networking and skill
building.
