September 21, 7:30/8:30am to approximately 8/9pm(return is subject to change due to traffic), the bus will be picking up at Bridlewood Mall, then going across to Cloverdale Mall and then will make its way to Stratford. The route will be reversed in the afternoon, hence why the two times above.Bus trip to Stratford to see Romeo and Juliet. The two meeting locations are Brailwood Mall near the RBC and Pizza Pizza, and Cloverdale Mall, the entrance that is beside Rexall and in front of Service Ontario. Volunteers are to help provide sighted guide to individuals to/from the TTC Wheel Trans stops at the malls to the bus and sighted guide individuals around the theater in Stratford. The bus trip, boxed lunch, theater ticket and TTC fares to and from the malls will be covered in full for the volunteers by CCB Visionaries. We are looking for 4 volunteers (2 at each mall location).
CCB Toronto Visionaries is a local chapter of the Canadian Council of the Blind (CCB), a national registered charity. Chartered as a CCB chapter in 2013, the CCB Toronto Visionaries is dedicated to breaking the isolation that so often accompanies vision loss, encouraging members to be inspired by their peers, to building supportive social networks through sharing information and engaging in a wide range of social and recreational activities. We are looking for volunteers to act as support people for individuals with visual impairments. We currently hold a wide variety of social activities and events, including Pub Nights, Bowling, Walkathons, Bus Trips, etc,).
