About This Opportunity

September 14 at 2pm, Walk at Leslie Spit (Tommy Thompson Park) Meeting spot to be determined, Volunteers are asked to be there from 1:30 to approximately 4:30 or so. Volunteers are to help provide sighted guide to CCB visionary members. We are looking for at least 2 volunteers.

CCB Toronto Visionaries is a local chapter of the Canadian Council of the Blind (CCB), a national registered charity. Chartered as a CCB chapter in 2013, the CCB Toronto Visionaries is dedicated to breaking the isolation that so often accompanies vision loss, encouraging members to be inspired by their peers, to building supportive social networks through sharing information and engaging in a wide range of social and recreational activities. We are looking for volunteers to act as support people for individuals with visual impairments. We currently hold a wide variety of social activities and events, including Pub Nights, Bowling, Walkathons, Bus Trips, etc,).
