Meeting location:
Food for Life Warehouse
2258 Mountainside Dr, Burlington, ON
Driving within Halton region and Hamilton
Responsibilities:
- Driving 20ft straight truck (g-class; automatic transmission; diesel)
- Loading and unloading food from vehicle
- Operating Truck lift gate when applicable
- Weighing and recording ingoing/outgoing food
- Lifting and carrying crates up to 50lbs
- Interacting with food donors, community volunteers, and agency partners
Requirements:
- Must be 18+ years or older
- G License and clean driver’s abstract
- Experience driving a straight truck or equivalent-larger vehicle
- Experience operating warehouse pump trucks
- DZ or AZ license is a strong asset
- Strong Customer Service skills
Schedule & Time Commitment:
- Weekly shift, Wednesdays
- 8:00am-4:00pm preferred (but flexible)
- On-going as needed
