About This Opportunity
Volunteers to help with weekly (Saturday afternoons) gathering for families that have recently moved to the community as government sponsored refugees. The program provides families with the opportunity to connect with other families in a similar situation and to gain comfort in exploring and integrating into the community. The program also provides opportunities to learn about mental health and what can be helpful in the adjustment process they are facing. The role of volunteers will be to engage with children, youth, and adults, and to assist in group activities led by the facilitator.
