About This Opportunity
The Wheels to Meals driver picks up clients and takes them to local restaurants for social events organized by Links2Care. Volunteer drivers stays for the duration of the social event, enjoying a meal with the others, and drops off clients back at their homes after event.
As a volunteer in this role, you will...
- Pick up and drop off clients at their homes before and after the event
- Stay for the duration of the event and socialize with the group
- Assist clients with assistive devices (such as walkers), and be physically capable of lifting walkers into and out of vehicle. Training will be provided
- Be expected to use your own vehicle
- Be available once a month around lunch hours for the event
- Build meaningful connections with the clients and help support our local community!

Volunteers are expected to report any unusual condition or concern, maintain calmness in an emergency, and assist in a crisis as needed. Volunteers will follow Links2Care Code of Conduct, Client Confidentiality and Human Rights Act, and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

- Access to car
- Valid Driver's License
- Willing to undergo a background or police records check
- Clean driving record & insurance coverage
- Comfortable commuting to opportunity location
- Appropriate vehicle for seniors to get into and out of safely
