About This Opportunity
Are you passionate about science, education, and making a difference in the lives of immigrant and refugee children? Join our Young Scientist Program at MOSAIC BC, where we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help design and create engaging health science booklets.
About the Role:
As a volunteer, you’ll be part of a dedicated team that develops educational materials aimed at introducing children to health science through hands-on experiments. These booklets will serve as a resource to guide young learners through the theory and practice of health science experiments conducted in our workshops.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the team to design and create health science booklets.
- Write clear and concise sections on the scientific theory behind the experiments.
- Ensure that the content is accessible and engaging for children from diverse backgrounds.
- Utilize Canvas to design and format the booklets.
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of health science concepts.
- Proficiency in Canvas or similar design tools.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Passion for working with children and supporting their learning journey.
