About This Opportunity
We are seeking volunteers (18 years - 30 years) with an interest in community engagement, research, and/or education to support the Brain Injury Association of Peel & Halton (BIAPH). Ideally, volunteers will be able to commit to a medium-length term (September - April) or a full-length term (1-year commitment). Volunteers will promote our organization and its mission through social media and campus events and support initiatives in volunteer recruitment, fundraising, and brain injury prevention awareness.
- Reaching out to stakeholders via phone, email, and video conference
- Pitching partnership opportunities to local businesses
- Attending fundraising events and supporting BIAPH staff on-site
- Distributing flyers, posters, T-shirts, and/or other merchandise at events
- Managing crowds and helping maintain good energy at each event
- Developing social media content and promotional materials
- Creating content for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and/or LinkedIn
- Designing posters, flyers, handouts, and other promotional materials
Our volunteer roles require a commitment of approximately 5-10 hours per week, plus 1-2 meetings per month. Your volunteer hours will be recorded through timesheets submitted each month for the duration of your term with us.
