About This Opportunity

York Region Educational Services (YRES) is dedicated to leading community volunteerism as a proud recipient of Canada's Volunteer Award, through providing a wide range of volunteer positions in communities in the Greater Vancouver Area, Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa, and Alberta. We are looking for a YRES Event Support Assistant—someone devoted to giving back to their community, making an impact, and who loves socializing. 


The YRES Event Support Assistant is responsible for: 

- Arriving independently to the event on-time and in professional attire 

- Assisting with station set-up and clean-up

- Confidently greeting and directing guests upon arrival

- Acting as tour guides to help families explore the campgrounds

- Supporting camp activities and general operations as a floater

- Monitoring water activity areas to ensure visitor safety (Lifeguards, if certified)

- Helping families discover exciting camp programs 

- Providing feedback on the event

Date & Time: 

Saturday, June 6, 2026 

Shift: 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Who We're Looking For: 

- Minimum age: 12 

-  Able to independently arrive to work on time 

- Passionate about volunteering and excited to learn 

- Can commit to scheduled time of the shift

- Fluency in English

- Highly organized, detail-orientated and capable of managing multiple tasks
