About This Opportunity

Do you enjoy helping others navigate challenges, communicate more clearly, and find common ground? Join Toastmasters for Seniors: Practical Conflict Resolution Skills as a Conflict Resolution Skills Workshop Assistant Volunteer and support older adults as they build confidence in resolving disagreements respectfully, listening actively, and expressing themselves assertively in everyday situations.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in group facilitation, communication coaching, and emotional support while making a meaningful impact on the lives of senior learners.

What You’ll Do:

- Assist facilitators during conflict resolution and communication workshops

- Help set up and support interactive exercises such as role plays, scenario work, or partner discussions

- Encourage respectful dialogue, active listening, and calm communication during sessions

- Provide gentle guidance and positive reinforcement as participants practice conflict resolution techniques

- Contribute to a welcoming, non-judgmental environment where seniors feel safe to learn and grow

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome volunteers who are enthusiastic, dependable, and eager to learn! Ideal candidates will meet the following:

✔ Age between 12 - 30
✔ Passionate about volunteering and open to learning new skills
✔ Commitment to completing basic training
✔ Fluent in English
✔ Able to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check (if over 18)



Bonus Skills

✔ Experience volunteering or working with older adults
✔ Fluency or strong proficiency in a language other than English
