About This Opportunity

Do you enjoy helping others build confidence with technology, learn new digital skills, and stay connected in a digital world? Join Toastmasters for Seniors: Everyday Digital Skills as a Digital Literacy Workshop Volunteer, and support older adults as they explore the basics of using devices, apps, and the internet in a safe, empowering environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in adult education, tech support, and community engagement while making a real difference in the lives of senior learners.

What You’ll Do:

- Assist facilitators during digital literacy workshops

- Support participants during hands-on learning activities, such as using smartphones, email, web browsers, or video calls

- Answer basic tech questions and offer one-on-one guidance during practice sessions

- Help create a patient, supportive atmosphere where participants feel comfortable asking questions

- Encourage seniors as they build independence and confidence with digital tools

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome volunteers who are enthusiastic, dependable, and eager to learn! Ideal candidates will meet the following:

✔ Age between 12 - 30
✔ Passionate about volunteering and open to learning new skills
✔ Commitment to completing basic training
✔ Fluent in English
✔ Able to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check (if over 18)



Bonus Skills

✔ Experience volunteering or working with older adults
✔ Fluency or strong proficiency in a language other than English
