About This Opportunity
Grassland Warriors and gardening volunteers assist in the upkeep of the protected grasslands and grounds of the Nature Centre:
- Assists in weeding invasive plants as instructed (cheat sheet is also available to volunteers for easy reference)
- Assists in watering native plants as instructed
- Assists in maintaining the pond area as instructed
- Assists in the upkeep of the public area around the Nature Centre, picking up garbage or dead plants, to maintain a clean and professional presentation
- Assists the staff as needed and brings their attention to any needed repairs or visible issues.
- All equipment and grassland identification cards are provided
Volunteers can help anytime, but regular drop-in times are Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays between March and October. Bring a friend and pass the word - our grasslands need all the help they can get!

- Mandatory RCMP Security Clearance
- Comfortable commuting to opportunity location
- Willing to undergo a background or police records check
