🌲🌿 Join us for an unforgettable experience in the great outdoors! 🌿🌲 We're thrilled to announce our Intergenerational Day event on Saturday, June 1st, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Richard St. Barbe Baker Afforestation Area (RSBBAA). This invigorating inaugural ParticipACTION Community Challenge Event is not to be missed!  YouTube Video for ParticipACTION

In person activities include:

🎨 EcoArt in the Woods: Community Art for Forest Conservation 

🌍 International Children's Day 

🚢 National Trails Day 

πŸ’‘ World Hypoparathyroidism Awareness 

🌳 Arbor Week Trail Walking - One Path, Many Generations Join us on a journey bridging generations, exploring trails, raising awareness for health, and celebrating children!

Virtual Opportunities Include making these connections in person, or via email and social media.  Are you great at marketing, and inspiring others to become involved, if so, we need you!:

⭐Group registration: Encourage all groups to register for the ParticipACTION Community Challenge for the opportunity to win Weekly Prizes as well as celebrating health and wellness - a win win!

🌟Outreach: Reach out to advocacy groups, long-term care homes, youth groups, and eco classrooms to encourage participation to celebrate Intergenerational Day.  

 βœ…Youth Engagement: Contact youth groups like boys and girls clubs, scouts, and guides to celebrate International Children's Day.

✨ Trail Advocacy: Connect with hiking enthusiasts to celebrate International Trails Day. 

βœ”οΈArtistic Contributions: Engage artists to display and sell their art in an art show exhibition in the forest for the day, artists can also create smaller biodegradable pieces for our forest art installation and lead art sessions.

Let's collaborate to create a stunning art installation that pays tribute to the beauty of our forests and emphasizes the need for their protection. 

How You Can Get Involved: Spread the Word: Share information about our initiative with your friends, family, schools, businesses, churches, youth groups, long term care homes and community groups. 

Share Your Creativity: Email an original poem, prayer, or message of appreciation to friendsafforestation@gmail.com to be included in the installation. 

Take the pledge: Sign up as an individual in the ParticipACTION community challenge!  Encourage other individuals to "Take the pledge" to be active!  Besides the June Events, view the "fit list" for ideas and the free offerings on the ParticipACTION web site.

Create Your Own Piece: Craft a heartfelt message or artwork on a biodegradable material and send it with someone else to be placed in the forest on Saturday, June 1st. Let's unite, celebrate our love for nature, and raise awareness about the vital importance of preserving our forests for future generations. Thank you for being a part of this meaningful initiative!
