The Olde Forge Community Resource Centre (OFCRC) strives to empower older adults and people with physical disabilities to maintain their independence through advocacy, referral and support services. OFCRC is currently seeking volunteers to join our team as Online Grocery Ordering volunteers This opportunity helps older adults and adults with disabilities feel connected with their communities, assists in reducing the effects of loneliness and maintains their nutrition, wellness and independence.   

 Online Grocery Ordering Volunteers provide regular telephone contact and online support with older adults needing help placing an online grocery order. 

 As a member of our team, you will:
• Provide regular check ins with assigned older adult clients, offering conversation & grocery ordering support
• Perform regular outbound phone calls to assigned older adult clients
• Provide client centered support
• Maintain timely and accurate records
• Report any health or safety concerns to the Supervisor
• Provide monthly activity reports to Supervisor

• Comfort placing online grocery orders
• A clear understanding of privacy and confidentiality
• Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision. 

Volunteering conditions:
• Working remotely from a quiet, private space or at The Olde Forge office
• Position hours are flexible and dependent on client need and volunteer availability.
• This position will require a satisfactory Enhanced Police Information Check
