About This Opportunity
Power To Be is a non-profit organization that creates access to nature for youth, families, and adults living with cognitive, physical, financial, and social barriers. We support the discovery of limitless abilities through nature-based recreation and therapeutic programs.
We are recruiting new program volunteers to help us create a safe and fun environment for participants involved in weekday activities. Typical program activities include hiking, kayaking, canoeing, snowshoeing and more.
The key role of our program volunteers is to provide participants with social support and physical assistance while engaging in recreational activities together. Volunteers also support our staff with set up, take down and various tasks throughout each program.
Beyond being involved in our programs, volunteers will have the opportunity to attend social events, community events and training opportunities should they be interested.
Note: program activities happen in outdoor locations all around the greater Vancouver area, typically during weekdays.
