Do you enjoy public speaking, storytelling, or helping others find their voice?
Join Toastmasters for Seniors: Tips & Techniques for Powerful Speaking as a
Public Speaking Assistant Volunteer and support older adults as they build confidence in communication and speech writing in a fun, encouraging setting!

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in facilitation, mentorship, and event support while making a meaningful impact on the lives of senior learners.

What You’ll Do:

- Assist facilitators during public speaking and communication workshops

- Help participants brainstorm, organize, and rehearse speeches or presentations

- Provide gentle guidance, constructive feedback, and encouragement during practice sessions

- Support group discussions, storytelling games, and confidence-building speaking activities

-Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive environment where seniors feel empowered to speak and share


What You’ll Gain:

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome volunteers who are enthusiastic, dependable, and eager to learn! Ideal candidates will meet the following:

✔ Age between 12 - 30
✔ Passionate about volunteering and open to learning new skills
✔ Commitment to completing basic training
✔ Fluent in English
✔ Able to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check (if over 18)



Bonus Skills

✔ Experience volunteering or working with older adults
✔ Fluency or strong proficiency in a language other than English
