Do you enjoy public speaking, storytelling, or helping others find their voice?
Join Toastmasters for Seniors: Speaking & Speech Writing Made Simple as a
Speaking & Writing Assistant Volunteer and support older adults as they build confidence in communication and speech writing in a fun, encouraging setting!

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in facilitation, mentorship, and event support—while making a meaningful impact on the lives of senior learners.

What You’ll Do:

- Assist facilitators during public speaking and speech writing workshops

- Support participants with brainstorming, structuring, and rehearsing their speeches

- Offer encouragement, feedback, and guidance in one-on-one or small group settings

- Help set up and manage speaking activities, group discussions, and presentation practice

- Foster an inclusive, supportive space where seniors feel comfortable expressing themselves

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome volunteers who are enthusiastic, dependable, and eager to learn! Ideal candidates will meet the following:

✔ Age between 12 - 30
✔ Passionate about volunteering and open to learning new skills
✔ Commitment to completing basic training
✔ Fluent in English
✔ Able to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check (if over 18)



Bonus Skills

✔ Experience volunteering or working with older adults
✔ Fluency or strong proficiency in a language other than English
