 Join Our Team of Wonderful Counsellors and Make a Difference in Underserved Communities Volunteer Opportunity: 

 Are you a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), or Registered Social Worker (RSW) looking to give back to the community? Oak Counselling Services Society is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals like you to join our team of counsellors providing affordable counselling services to residents of Metro Vancouver. By volunteering with us, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact, connect with like-minded professionals, and receive support in your counselling journey. 

 About Oak Counselling Services: 

Oak Counselling Services Society is a well-established not-for-profit organization that has been serving the community for 50 years. We are committed to providing accessible counselling services to individuals and couples in Metro Vancouver. Our team consists of dedicated Master's level counsellors who generously volunteer their time and expertise. We offer both in-person and virtual counselling options to ensure accessibility for all. 

About You: As a volunteer counsellor, we expect you to possess the following qualities and skills: Ability to work independently and remotely
Strong problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills
Comfortable using technology, specifically Janeapp
Flexible schedule that allows you to choose your preferred days and times for counselling sessions 

Requirements:
To ensure the safety and well-being of our clients and volunteers, we require the following:
Clear Criminal Record Check for vulnerable persons
Willingness to commit to a minimum of one year of service 
Ability to respect privacy, maintain confidentiality, and establish personal boundaries
Liability insurance coverage
