About This Opportunity
Purpose: Volunteers provide assistance in the ReStore with greeting, merchandising, light upkeep, heavy upkeep, prep, receiving donations, metal recycling and much more! This support allows Habitat Greater Ottawa to raise funds to cover the affiliate’s operational costs and build homes in the community.
Time Commitment: 4 hours weekly or biweekly
Position Duties: Provide customer service and help with general housekeeping tasks, Repair damaged merchandise and/or assemble merchandise, Assist in moving merchandise onto the sales floor, Assist in loading and unloading merchandise from customer’s vehicles and ReStore vehicles
Orientation and Safety Training is mandatory for new volunteers. You will be required to wear CSA approved Steel Toed Boots.
